Evil Moon Preview:

Book: Evil Moon
Author: Harrison Ray
This is a new book that looks to be a good one. it's available on amazon.com, and you can find out more on Harrison Rays webpage www.harisonraynovels.com There is a second book called Scardey Cat that comes out next year. Here is what the book description has to say:

"What if you were a Nebraska State Patrol officer trying to track down an elusive, killing, wild animal, only to learn it is a werewolf that has attacked and infected your daughter with it's curse? Patrolman Davis Veoh will do whatever he must to save his daughter's soul at all costs. Tracking down the murderous beast, his quest takes him to Manitou Springs, Colorado. Where he and others become embroiled in a climatic battle on the Mt. Manitou Incline cable cars, against a werewolf horde bent on the destruction of all humankind."
Sounds good to me. I look forward to reading this one.

Last Watch Review:

Book: Last Watch
Author: Sergei Lukyanenko
Publisher: Mirimax

The Night Watch series is my favorite series, so I thought it might be appropriate that my first review is the final book of this great 4 book series.

Although most of this series takes place in Russia this book starts off in Scotland where Anton the main character of the series is sent to investigate what looks to be a murder on a theme park ride. The murder also appears to be done by a vampire. But why would a vampire empty the victims blood into the water that runs through the ride instead of drinking it?

That's the first of many questions Anton a "light other", asks himself. this book like the previous 3 books is split into 3 different stories. Although this book could probably be read by itself, I would recommend reading the books in order to get a better understanding overall story and the magic that is in the night watch stories.

This is a very fun book. there is lots of action, and lots of mystery. You follow Anton as he tries to unfold the riddles left by the magician Merlin from way back when the famous magician had all his power.

This book has all the characters a fan of the genre will love including vampires werewolves, as well as magic enhanced golems left by Merlin to protect his secrets. Most importantly Anton the main character a magician is so easy to root for as he is always trying to save the world using his new powers as a light other.

A great book to end a great series. I highly recommend all 4 books. Don't be discouraged if after reading the 2nd book as the series doesn't go downhill after the first book. the 3rd, and 4th book are just as good as the first. In my opinion anyways if the series does have a weakness it's the second book.
